Felraider's Realm
Whatever journey lies ahead ...
let's make it more awesome
‘In the realms of darkness, where evil reigns supreme
A warrior is rising, his name is Felraider
With sword in hand, clad in armor black as night
He’s the chosen one, destined for glory and might
(He’s the chosen one, oh yeah)
Felraider, hear the battle cry (battle cry)
In the dungeons deep, where the shadows lie (shadows lie)
With every swing, he strikes fear into their hearts (into their hearts)
Felraider, the hero never falls apart
(Felraider)’
ABOUT
Felraider has been my alter ego ever since my World of Warcraft days, but my passion for roleplaying games and fantasy extends far beyond that. Growing up in the 1970s, I was enchanted by classical fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm. However, my love for fantastic literature truly blossomed through the works of Jules Verne, J.R.R. Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, and more.
In the early 1980s, my fascination with solo roleplaying began when I stumbled upon a book at a friend’s house. The thrill of rolling dice to determine the next twist in the story made me feel like I was part of the tales I cherished. Shortly after, I delved into the German version of Dungeons and Dragons, known as “Das Schwarze Auge” or “The Dark Eye.” For years, I crafted adventures in this setting until the demands of adult life and a shrinking circle of gaming companions curtailed my tabletop pursuits.
Fortunately, as time marched on, computers became more accessible. Games like The Bard’s Tale, The Ultima Series, Might and Magic, Baldur’s Gate, and eventually World of Warcraft allowed me to continue my immersive journey into fantasy realms.
Fast forward to today, where the children of my friends have reached an age where we’ve reignited our passion for Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. Here, I merge my love for role-playing with my affinity for computers. This duality is why I create assets and write— I find it much easier to share my creations online than it was in the 1980s when copying machines were your only ally.
I sincerely hope you find joy in the worlds I create, and I wish you countless hours of happy gaming.
